History
    •    A winegrowing family settled for several generations in Janvry, in the north-west of the Montagne de Reims, near the Ardre valley.
    •    In the 1960s, the grandfather co-founded the local cooperative. In 1982, the parents created the Ponsart-Delagarde brand.
    •    Brothers Baptiste and Charles Ponsart trained separately, one in Champagne and the other in Bordeaux, then began making wine from their own grapes in 2016, first at the cooperative their grandfather founded.
    •    In 2025 they opened their own pressing and winemaking facility.
    •    Roles: Baptiste in the vineyard, Charles in the cellar, and their sister Bertine in business development.

The estate in figures
    •    About 10 ha for the whole family, of which just under 2 ha are made into wine by Baptiste and Charles under their own name.
    •    Vines in Janvry and Germigny.
    •    Mainly Meunier, with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
    •    Récoltant-manipulant status: they grow their grapes and make their own Champagnes.

The cuvées
    •    Le Sous-Trait (Extra Brut): the blended cuvée, released in numbered editions (N°01, N°02).
    •    La DS (Extra Brut, 100% Meunier): Champron lieu-dit in Germigny, east-facing, on clay-silt; mass-selection vines planted in 1968; fermented in barrels and demi-muids; 2 g/L dosage (base 2020, disgorged October 2024).
    •    Les Vergers (Extra Brut, Blanc de Blancs): 100% Chardonnay.
    •    Résilience 2021: a vintage cuvée.

The signature
    •    Grower Champagnes centred on Meunier, low in dosage (Extra Brut), precise and vinous.
    •    A landscape of orchards, woods and vines that the brothers want to preserve as a whole ecosystem.

In the vineyard
    •    Sustainable farming, grapes picked at full ripeness.
    •    Old mass-selection vines on some plots.

In the cellar
    •    Low-intervention winemaking, mostly with native yeasts.
    •    Ageing mainly in stainless steel, with barrels or demi-muids for some cuvées such as La DS.
