Terms of sale

This document (Terms of Use) sets out the conditions of sale concluded between, on one hand, people who want to buy via the website of "La Cave Des Grands Vins", hereinafter "Customer", and secondly, the company "La Cave Des Grands Vins' located at 144 Boulevard du Montparnasse 75014 Paris, Siret number: 344 289 368 0001 3 - APE 522 J, hereinafter the "Seller". These conditions apply only to private individuals.



In the absence of special stipulations added to the following and agreed upon between the parties, any order implies full acceptance by the Customer and his full commitment to the Terms of Sale which supersede any Customer's documents, including any Customer Terms of Purchase which could not apply to a sale by the Seller.



Every order is final and not subject to amendment, except with the express permission of the Seller. Orders are only final when the price has been fully paid to the Seller. Offers are within the limits of available stocks, (but without commitment and sales expected) .

Orders do not have minimal quantities except when indicated otherwise. 
 The prices are not contractual. A few wines are exclusively reserved to the French market.

"La Cave Des Grands Vins" reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order from a Customer with whom there is a dispute over payment of a previous order, or from a Customer who is deemed risky by the Seller. If part of an order is not available for delivery, "La Cave Des Grands Vins" will inform the customer as soon as practically possible



All prices include VAT, they are quoted in EURO. The current VAT is 20%. Prices are set by the bottle unless a different format is specified. For freight and insurance, see the related articles. Prices are those shown at the time of the order as they appear on the Seller's website (error and omission excepted).

Payment by bank wire: the Customer can send a money order through the Seller's partner bank. The Customer will find the Seller's bank details in the order form when choosing the method of payment.

The Seller reserves the right to request payment by bank transfer in advance rather than by credit card or by personal check when the Seller believes it useful for the safe completion of the transaction.

Orders will be effective upon receipt of the Customer's payment. Any order not paid within eight days will be automatically canceled.
Upon receipt of the payment, an invoice will be sent to the Customer's billing address

The transfer of ownership takes place upon delivery of the goods to the indicated address.




The wines are shipped in wooden or cardboard crates containing 1,2,3,6 or 12 bottles delivered in one delivery o the same place. The delivery is launched upon payment of the invoice. The order will be sent to the address specified by the customer in the order validation form. In case of error in the address of the recipient, the Seller cannot be held responsible for the impossibility in which he might be to deliver the product.

Deliveries in mainland France will usually be made within 2 to 3 days depending on destination. While every effort is made to meet these deadlines, they are only indicative. A delivery delay cannot in any case result in a penalty or in damage fees of any kind whatsoever againt the Seller, nor can it cancel the order.

Regarding deliveries outside France, deadlines vary by destination. For more information, the Customer should contact the Sellerl.

Delivery reception: it is essential that the person receiving the command checks the contents of the shipment before signing the carrier's slip. Any defect (missing or broken item, or any other damage) must be clearly specified on the slip with the names and quantities of wines missing or broken. It must be reported to the carrier in writing within 3 days of reception. Once we become aware of the dispute by fax, by mail or by e-mail (within a week at the latest), we will call on our insurance and will either refund or replace the wines.

Note: statements such as "subject to unpacking" are null and void. Only detailed and precise statement of missing, broken or damaged goods, signed by the person who has received the delivery, can open right to reimbursement.



The information on the availability of the products is given to the Customer when he validates his order. If, after an order is placed, a product proves unavailable, "La Cave Des Grands Vins" will inform the Customer by email or by mail as soon as possible. The Customer order is automatically canceled and if already paid, immediately reimbursed.

In case of payment by credit card, the same credit card will be credited of the amount paid.



The Customer can cancel his order for a given time, in accordance to Article L 121-16 of the France Consumer Code. The Customer has 7 days after delivery to cancel his order. The goods exchange, or the refund, will be made within 30 days of receipt of the return of the order.

The order must be returned in original packaging along with the invoice. The shipping cost will be borne by the Customer. "La Cave des Grands Vins" should be informed of the return of the merchandise either by e-mail or by mail. In case the package is lost during the return, "La Cave des Grands Vins" cannot be held responsible.

Upon receipt of the package, the Seller's shipping team will check the perfect condition of the returned merchandise. After verification, the customer will be refunded his payment excluding the initial freight cost.



Pursuant to Ordinance No. 59-107 of 07 January 1959, the sale of alcohol is prohibited to minors under 16 years. Therefore the Customer has to be 16 years old or more at the time the order is placed.
