Domaine Barthod Ghislaine Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru 2015
Burgundy wine Les Veroilles

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Veroilles, from the highest part of the village, is the most inward, powerful and taut of these 2009s. The aromas and flavors remain high-toned and tight, but as the tannins soften, this should develop into an expressive, beautiful wine.

"A very ripe yet once again fresh nose aggregates notes of black cherry liqueur, violet, sandalwood, lavender and an interesting hint of dried orange peel. There is excellent richness allied with terrific punch and tension to the intensely stony medium-bodied flavors that are at once powerful, serious and muscular, all wrapped a classy, refined and strikingly long finish. This is quite firm yet there is so much sap that it should be approachable after only a few years of cellaring."
