Domaine Mugneret Gibourg Echezeaux 2018
Burgundy wine Grand Cru

A spicy dark berry fruit and floral component carries a whiff of animale yet remains pure and actually quite elegant and this refinement can also be found on the impressively concentrated mid-palate of the full and generous flavors that culminate in a mouth coating and exceptionally persistent finish.

"This is the first wine to display any appreciable reduction and it presently flattens the underlying fruit. Otherwise there is a really lovely texture to the medium weight plus flavors thanks to the abundance of mid-palate sap that coats the mouth and buffers the moderately firm, complex and lingering finish. This muscular and very serious effort is shaped by a very firm tannic spine that signals clearly this will need time."
