Ce Cognac a été produit par un viticulteur âgé de la région de Châteauneuf, qui avait l’habitude d’acheter un tonneau neuf pour stocker chaque récolte. Il le laissait vieillir dans le même tonneau jusqu’à ce qu’il trouve un acquéreur, plusieurs années plus tard. Nous avons acheté ce Cognac en 2001 et avons commencé à le réduire dés son achat. La dernière réduction, avant remise en fûts de 350 L, fut réalisée au cours de l’année 2002.
Robe vieil or, reflets clairs. Au nez, les arômes de fruits mûrs et de miel qui s’en dégagent sont puissants. La bouche est franche et souple, à dominante de gingembre avec de légères touches d’agrumes. Cognac très équilibré et homogène, sur le chemin de la maturité.
