2019 was a sunny, dry vintage that gave ripe, concentrated wines that kept their freshness. The nose combines black cherries in liqueur, plum, raspberry, violet and damp earth. The spicy palate rests on a lean, mineral core, crystalline in its purity yet with real depth. This is a Chambolle for the cellar that needs a few years in bottle.

"A wonderfully fresh and cool nose reflects aromas of plum, violet and lovely spice wisps. There is fine mid-palate density to the appealingly textured middle weight flavors that exude evident minerality on the refreshing, focused and well-balanced finale where a touch of austerity slowly appears. A Chambolle villages of finesse and grace that should mature slowly over the next decade."
