Description of the Domaine Comte de Vogüe
The village Chambolle-Musigny comes from just over 2 ha of vines, mainly the Les Porlottes lieu-dit, high in the south-west of the village, with small parts of declassified premier crus
2022 was a very hot, dry vintage, rescued by late-August rain that allowed a September harvest. At the estate, acidity stayed surprisingly good, with about 13% natural alcohol and close-to-normal yields (about 30 hl/ha). The nose opens on sour cherry, dark raspberry, bilberry and forest berries, with violet and a touch of spice. The medium-bodied palate is concentrated and full of energy, carried by strong mineral freshness. The fine tannins build on the finish and give lovely chalky length. A Chambolle that can already be enjoyed, but will reward patience.

« A ripe and attractively fresh nose combines notes of various dark berries and plum with those of violet and soft spice nuances. I very much like the sophisticated texture to the punchy and succulent middleweight flavors that exude evident minerality on the balanced, firm, chalky and lingering finish. Lovely and understated and overall, this is a terrific Chambolle villages. » (Janvier 2025)
