es Dazés is a village Montagny plot in the south of the appellation, near Saint-Vallerin. The vines, about 45 years old, face east on light clay mixed with chalky limestone and rock. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed. The wine ferments with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels (30% new), without settling, then ages for about 14 months in the same barrels before 6 months in tank.
The 2022 shows a nose of yellow flowers, citrus zest, fresh ginger and toast. The palate is medium-bodied, juicy and fresh, with citrus, stone fruit and a touch of red berries, carried by bright acidity. The finish is clean, dry and mineral. This is a generous Montagny with the ripeness of the vintage that keeps all its tension.
