Sous la Velle is a village-level lieu-dit on the east side of Meursault, at the foot of the slope, at about 220 metres, on clay-limestone soils. Anne farms about 1 ha of vines planted in 1947, 1952, 1987 and 1990. The grapes are hand-harvested. The wine ferments with native yeasts, then ages for about 18 months in barrels

Description of the Domaine Boisson Anne
Sous la Velle is a village-level lieu-dit on the east side of Meursault, at the foot of the slope, at about 220 metres, on clay-limestone soils. Anne farms about 1 ha of vines planted in 1947, 1952, 1987 and 1990. The grapes are hand-harvested. The wine ferments with native yeasts, then ages for about 18 months in barrels
The nose combines lemon, lime, peach and apricot, with a floral and mineral touch. The palate is full and creamy, driven by lively acidity and vibrant fruit. The finish is clean and long, with citrus and minerality. In the sunny 2022 vintage, Sous la Velle remains the house’s broadest and most refined Meursault, already delicious and able to develop for a few years.
