Description of the Domaine Renaudin Maxime
The open, rounded nose combines blackcurrant, blackberry, spice and garrigue. The palate is round and balanced, driven by natural freshness and fine tannins
The estate’s main cuvée blends Carignan, Grenache and Syrah in similar proportions (about 40% Carignan). The hand-harvested grapes are fully destemmed; each variety and plot is vinified separately, with gentle extraction, closer to infusion. The wine ages for 24 months in French oak barrels with very little sulphur, and the blend is made just before bottling.
The open, rounded nose combines blackcurrant, blackberry, spice and garrigue. The palate is round and balanced, driven by natural freshness and fine tannins. A Languedoc red that focuses on purity of fruit and elegance rather than power, to cellar for 8 to 12 years.
